About Mooi

Mooi is a contemporary jewellery practice on the Far South Coast of NSW, where designer and maker Helga van den Broek creates handmade jewellery to be worn, played with and enjoyed.

Working with sterling silver, precious metals, gemstones and reclaimed materials, Mooi explores geometry, texture, movement and composition, combining considered design with the unexpected things that happen when working directly with metal.

I love the combination of precision, intuition and play, and the moment when a piece leaves the studio and finds its person, seeing how it moves, how it’s worn and how the wearer makes it their own.
